Grateful

I met this girl while visiting Ethiopia in March of 2020 just before our COVID lockdown. She was the daughter of a farmer we were visiting. I was traveling with Tearfund Canada, an organization working on development initiatives. Her mother started using Conservation Agriculture techniques after learning them through the Tearfund Canada local program. Through the use of these techniques, their farm became much more productive, enabling their family to become self-sufficient with their food supply and to sell their excess. The income from the sale now allows her to attend school.
