My friend Jackie captured this image on an early morning drive home on Hilton Head Island. She lent me the image to do a painting from. I worked off the original photo taking a few more liberties with my pastels than photo images allow. I did a quick under sketch in hard pastels washed with alcohol for my underpainting and jumped right in with my soft pastels.
