Sunsets are a special wonder of this world and one here on the Gulf coast that never disappoint. Since moving here I have found they change too rapidly to paint plein-aire and photos so do impart the wonder and beauty I experience. So after more than several attempt, I felt I was able to use the pastels to share the intensity and depth of the colors in the sky and its reflections on the quiet and tranquil waters at the close of the day. I used the land marks and water to guide my memories of the glorious colors.
