This painting was done plein air September 20, 2021 on UART 400 sand colour; inspired by landscape at a local cider farm; trees just starting to go to fall colours; fields plowed and laying fallow now; my eye caught the shape of the trees in the middle ground and their gentle curve of an 'L' against the sky and distant fields and trees, with the multi-coloured field in the foreground; a perfect day to be outside and to paint outside; my pastels were the perfect medium with which to capture the feeling of this morning.
