This painting was created on Canson paper with a variety of hard and soft pastels. The pastel is built up in many light layers until I feel it has captured my subject. The painting is of our cat Noelle, otherwise known as 'mouse' due to her small stature. She was rescued from a local shelter when she was just a little girl and has been with us ever since. When the weather is nice you'll find her in the nearest open window enjoying a long nap. What a life!
