‘Companionship’ is our psychological need as humans. Loneliness can easily overtake our psyche in a 21st century world where technology has brought the world closer but at the same time ended up isolating individuals and reducing face to face conversation.
In this soft pastels done on paper, a girl finds companionship in the innocent, playful presence of her pet cat where conversation is not verbal but in the form of touch and play, alleviating her loneliness.
